Eden as contact rail in harsh environments
In some environments there are no contact rails that can withstand the environmental demands. In the scenario above at an Arla dairy the solution was to use Jokab Safety's non contact sensor Eden instead.
The function of a contact rail is imitated using an aluminum frame mounted on springs at the bottom side of a lift table. Eden sensors control the position of the aluminum frame and stops the lift table if the springs are compressed to the extend that the sensors loose contact.
